Life on Air

I've been rocking the sexy new 13" Macbook Air with i7 processor for a week now and I love it. A lot. I love it so much that there was a genuine risk I wouldn't make it into work the morning after I unboxed it because I had been electrocuted attempting to have sex with a laptop.

After actually using it for a week though I can say it safely manages to get into the Good Stuff category. Why you ask? Because it's the best computer I've ever owned, that's why.

I'd forgive you at this stage for thinking I'm just an iFanboy but the truth is that this is the first Mac I've owned. I was hesitant about it at first, mostly because of how horrendously bad the first Macbook Air was, but the specs looked good and I was hearing positive reports so I made the leap.

Much like me the Macbook Airs have no moving parts and this makes them, like my wit, super fast. The SSD (Solid State Drive) and the i7 make it ridicously quick at loading everything and it boots up so fast I don't even have an excuse to get a coffee.

Yes, it's an ultra portable so it's not going to be great if you're cutting together the next Hollywood epic in Final Cut Pro or trying to solve the Navier-Stokes Equations but as a writer, and a general user, it's perfect.

Ok, so excuse me now. I'm going to go spend some time with it alone. It's true what they say: 'once you go Mac you never go back.'
